Tell us a little about yourself: Endurance sports junkie, strength athlete, armored Combat steel fighter. I have run ultra marathons, did the death race, fought for Team USA internationally for steel fighting. Married for 18 years with 4 kids and a zoo of animals.
How did you hear about the keto diet? Offered a trial program at my CrossFit gym.
Why did you decide to try the keto diet? I was getting tired of my current diet and looking for a change due to the change in sport focus.
What other diets have you tried? How does keto compare? Everything! Keto works for me because it is easy to follow and track. It is all the foods I love to eat, and I have amazing energy without crashing which is important for armored combat.
What was the most challenging aspect(s) of the keto diet? Missing my chips and salsa binges.
How did you overcome your top challenge(s)? Found alternatives, learned to like new foods, and just sheer will power.
Why did you decide to participate in THE KETO 30 challenge? With the change of focus for my sport, I needed to cut weight while keeping as much strength as possible.
How did you feel while doing THE KETO 30? Amazing! I was less sore, had faster recovery, and had more energy and alertness overall.
What was your favorite part about THE KETO 30? The results!
What was your least favorite part? The learning curve on the macros.
