Four Low-Carb Keto Dips
Snacking can be productive, or destructive if you don’t do it right. Here, we’re using keto dips to fight hunger while staying within the appropriate macronutrient ratio. Packed with healthy fats, veggies, and herbs, these dips have everything you need to keep you satisfied and on track. Here they are, in all their glory:
1. Guacamole
We've heard nothing is better than avocados. We respectfully disagree. Avocados mashed up with cilantro and lime are better than avocados. Making this guacamole couldn’t be any easier either! Simply mash a ripe avocado in a bowl with red onions, cilantro, fresh garlic, lime juice, tomatoes, and olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Tip: add a pinch of lime zest for a stronger, limey flavor with less sugar.
2. Pesto
Pesto is truly a work of Italian art. With some fresh basil, olive oil, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic, this pesto can either be used as a robust, fragrant dip, or a delicious spread on meat, chicken, fish, or pasta!
3. Spinach Dip
Ready to make your new healthy go-to dip? Here’s all you need:
- 10 oz. frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup Parmesan
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- Cracked pepper to taste
- Onion powder and garlic powder to taste
- A dash of Tabasco
- Juice from half a lemon
4. Smoked Salmon Dip
Spread this smoky, salty salmon dip on crisp, cool veggies (like cucumbers) for a filling snack packed with protein, fat, and flavor while maintaining a low net carb profile.
